Ronald Tubid on cheap shot to Jayson Castro: "Hindi ko sadya yun"

Petron Blaze guard Ronald Tubid did not wait for his 11 a.m. meeting on Friday with PBA Commissioner Chito Salud to say sorry to the player he claimed he "hurt unintentionally."

Ronald Tubid vs Jayson Castro: "Hindi ko sadya yun"

Tubid has been summoned by Salud after he was called for a technical foul for what looked like a punch to the groin of Jayson Castro late in the Texters' 88-122 loss to Talk 'N Text on Wednesday night.

Castro crumpled to the floor after the hit, but Tubid insisted he was going for the ball and the hit was unintentional.

Tubid also pleaded with fans not to judge him.

“Laro lang 'yun. Basketball may contact talaga.

Tubid revealed he tried to approach Castro after the game to personally apologize.

Kaso nakaalis na s'ya,” the 32-year old off guard said.

Meanwhile, Ali Peek and Doug Kramer, who also figured in a shoving match, have also been issued reprimands but no longer need to appear before Salud since their offense is deemed waivable.
