Bob Arum to ESPN: It's Bradley vs Marquez, Pacquiao vs Rios or Alvarado

Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum confirmed to ESPN's Dan Rafael that the groups of Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez have agreed to terms for a bout in September or October, while Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao is slated to fight Mike Alvarado or Brandon Rios "in the fall in Asia."

Marquez-Bradley had been rumored last week, when the Mexican Marquez told ESPN Deportes Radio that he was leaning towards the American Bradley.

San Mig Coffee secures last PBA Semis ticket (Full Replay Video)

Defending champion San Mig Coffee gained the last ticket to the PBA Commissioner’s Cup semis by suppressing Meralco, 90-82, in Game 3 of their quarterfinals showdown.

Just like in their 2012 quarterfinals duel, the Mixers were able to fight back from a Game 1 defeat to the Bolts by claiming the next two games in their best-of-three series.

Marc Pingris had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Mixers, who will face league leader Alaska in the semifinals. The 6’5” forward was even more effective at the defensive end, containing Meralco’s Mac Cardona during the most crucial minutes of the game.

San Mig Coffee’s quarterfinals success was reminiscent of the same feat they pulled off against the Bolts in the 2012 edition of the Commissioner’s Cup.

CNN Host Anthony Bourdain tries Filipino dessert 'Halo-Halo'

Last year, Multi-awarded Chef & Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern said many good things about Filipino Food. . He even predicted that Filipino food is the next big thing after Thai, Japanese and Chinese food. Now, Another Famous Chef likened the Filipino food specifically the Filipino dessert ‘Halo-Halo’ which is being offered by the popular Filipino fast food chain, Jollibee.


Chef, author and TV personality Anthony Bourdain visited a Jollibee restaurant in Los Angeles and ate halo-halo for his new show, “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown,” which aired on CNN on Sunday.

Barangay Ginebra advances to Semis; Defeats Rain or Shine

Vernon Macklin scored the last four points of the game, including the marginal free throws to lead Barangay Ginebra San Miguel to an 81-79 victory over the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters Monday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

The Gin Kings import scored on a tip-in to tie the game with under a minute left, before making two pressure-packed free throws with 11 seconds in the game to help Ginebra complete a quarterfinals upset over the second-seed Elasto Painters.

Digitel Workers Protesting PLDT's Voluntary Retirement Program

WE ARE ON A HUNGER STRIKE!! - Members of the Digitel Employees Union (DEU) is currently  staging a protest against it's new parent company, Philippine Long Distance Co. (PLDT) regarding it's voluntary retirement program which DEU said is just a mere ploy so that the PLDT Management could avoid negotiating with them as an organized group.


“PLDT should absorb Digitel employees and start CBA (collective bargaining agreement) negotiations,” DEU told Inquirer.net

PLDT earlier cited “redundancy” as its main reason for the removal of Digitel workers, who were offered generous retirement programs well above what the government requires.
