Other than the centerpiece event of men’s basketball, the ever trendy, highly-awaited cheerdance competition serves as another major attraction in every UAAP season.

And this year won’t be any different as a jampacked crowd is expected to fill in the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday when seven cheerdance squads try to stop University of the Philippines from winning a fourth consecutive championship.

Terrence Romeo set a new career-high with 33 points as the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws closed out their UAAP Season 76 elimination round campaign with a 87-69 rout of the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Tamaraws, who swept the first round of the tournament, wrapped up the elimination round with a 10-4 record and are assured of at least a playoff for the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament. (see the latest full rankings here)

Mexico and Puerto Rico will square off in Wedneday's Final (Thursday Morning, PHL) of the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship after winning their Semi-Finals against the Dominican Republic and Argentina respectively on Tuesday.

Mexico beat Argentina 76-70 and Puerto Rico got vengeance against their Caribbean rivals from the Dominican Republic in a 79-67 win.
