Gilas Pilipinas escapes New Zealand in OT win - Jones Cup 2015 (FULL GAME REPLAY VIDEO)

The Gilas Pilipinas, Philippines men’s national basketball team rallied from a 16-point deficit in the second half and sealed a victory against the Wellington Saints from New Zealand in overtime, 92-88, on Friday, September 4, at the Xinchuang Gymnasium in Taipei.

Jayson Castro scored 22 points and Dondon Hontiveros provided some late heroics to finish with 21 to lead Gilas Pilipinas, which improved to 4-2 for the tournament.

Gilas Pilipinas losses to Iran - Jones Cup 2015 (FULL GAME REPLAY VIDEO)

Gilas Pilipinas suffered its second defeat at the 2015 William Jones Cup after bowing to a more consistent Iranian team at the Xinchuang Gymnasium in Taiwan Thursday.
Iran’s star player Hamed Haddadi dominated once again to steer his team past the Philippine squad, 74-65. The Iranian big man finished with 22 points.
