PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial told The Philippine Star that the fighting congressman of Sarangani province volunteered his participation through Davao del Sur Gov. Douglas Cagas.

Our basketball legends and stars will surely give the ultimate boxing legend the workout that he's craving for. Game on!" Salud said in a statement posted on the PBA's official Facebook page.

Marcial said if Pacquiao's plan pushes through, he is likely to be included in the Legend's Team Stalwarts, which include Benjie Paras, Bong Ravena, Dickie Bachmann, Topex Robinson, Ronald Tubid, Chris Tiu, JC Intal, Willie Miller, Mark Macapagal, and Jervy Cruz.
