The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will be implementing a new rule regarding the height limit for imports who will be playing in the Commissioner’s Cup in the league’s 2013-2014 season.
They will have to pass the required 6’9” height limit for the Commissioner’s Cup, which comes after the season opening Philippine Cup.
However, PBA commissioner Chito Salud said there will be a twist in their new height rule.
“To further equalize or balance the strength of the 10 teams, the last two placers in the Philippine Cup will be allowed to field an import with a limit of 6’11” in the Commissioner’s Cup,” said Salud in the PBA website.
In the last two seasons, there was no height limit for imports in the Commissioner’s Cup.
