Barangay Ginebra San Miguel sent veteran forward Kerby Raymundo to the Meralco Bolts on Tuesday in exchange for center Jay-R Reyes.
The deal, which was approved by the league on Tuesday, would give the Gin Kings a younger frontliner to pair up with high-flying forward Japeth Aguilar. Ginebra is also expected to tab a young frontliner with its No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft, with Greg Slaughter and Ian Sangalang likely candidates.
The trade reunites Raymundo with Meralco coach Ryan Gregorio, who coached the versatile forward at Purefoods.
It was the third major offseason deal for the Bolts since the end of their season. The team earlier acquired Gary David and Rabeh Al-Hussaini in separate deals earlier this month.
