Manny Pacquiao 'happy' over Juan Manuel Marquez' loss to Bradley

Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao seems to have gotten some satisfaction from his Mexican rival’s recent loss to reigning WBO welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley.

In a teleconference with boxing media last Thursday, the former eight-division world champion said he was pleased with the outcome of the welterweight title fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Bradley.

The unbeaten American edged the 40-year-old Marquez via split decision to retain the WBO welterweight belt.

"I did not watch the fight with Marquez and Bradley, but I was happy,” Pacquiao said in Dan Rafael’s report to ESPN.com.

“I had already predicted that Bradley would win the fight, so I'm not surprised at what happened in the fight."

Pacquiao is currently in the thick of preparations for his comeback fight against Brandon Rios on November 24. A win against the Mexican-American could line him up for a rematch against Bradley.

He suffered a brutal knockout at the hands of Marquez during their fourth clash last December.

Pacquiao wanted a rematch, but the Mexican decided against it and challenged Bradley for the WBO welterweight title.
