Businessman Cedric Lee admitted that he was accompanied by a friend, Zimmer Raz, a 6-footer bodybuilder who knows mixed martial arts (MMA), when they beat up actor-host Vhong Navarro last week.
“Napagtulungan namin siya ni Zimmer. Dahil dalawa naman kami, nahila namin siya palabas ng bedroom, Nahila namin sa sala at pilit namin siyang pinipin-down para maaresto siya at madala sa presinto,” the businessman said in an interview with Pinky Webb on "Mornings@ANC" on Tuesday morning.
Lee maintained that they merely reacted after seeing Navarro allegedly raping their friend, model Deniece Cornejo, inside her condominium unit at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Lee also claimed that they struggled to pin down the actor, whom he said was fighting back.
“Nahirapan lang kami i-pin down siya because ang liski n'ya eh. Takbo siya ng takbo at talon siya ng talon siya sa mesa. When we used our brute force together, natalo na namin siya,” Lee narrated.
Asked if they sustained injuries during the fight with Navarro, Lee said: “Ako wala akong tama sa mukha. Si Zimmer nasuntok niya pero hindi napuruhan. Konting swelling lang 'yun, pero I think nagsubside na ‘yun.”
Lee added that Navarro was no match to them.
“Zimmer to begin with is 6-footer, is a body builder and a mixed martial arts expert. So kay Zimmer pa lang alone immobilized na sya eh,” he said.
Navarro has already filed cases against Lee and his companions for the attack.
Lee, sibling Bernice Lee and Cornejo are now facing cases for serious physical injuries, grave threat, grave coercion, illegal arrest, blackmail, and serious illegal detention, which is a non-bailable offense.
The five other respondents in the cases are: Raz, Ferdinand Guerrero, a certain "Alias Mike," and two unidentified accomplices.
