The Philippine Azkals have secured a slot in the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 finals after they defeated the host team Maldives during the knockout semi-final match, 3-2, Tuesday night (early Wednesday morning Manila Time).
The Azkals already made history during the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup when they finished 3rd, and now, they have just made history again after making it to the finals, a first time for the Philippines.
And it's going to be extra special if they win the tournament for the first time and qualify for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
The AFC Challenge Cup 2014 Finals, Palestine vs Philippines, will be on Friday, May 30, 1130PM Manila time, at the National Football Stadium, Maldives.
