FIRST ROUND:
1. 2014 Overall Top Pick - GlobalPort select Stanley Pringle
2. Rain or Shine - Kevin Alas
3. San Miguel Beer - Ronald Pascual
*Barako Bull trades pick to San Miguel Beer. Barako Bull traded that pick for Chico Lanete, Jojo Duncil, a 2014 second round pick and a 2016 first round pick.
4. NLEX - Matt Ganuelas Rosser
5. Alaska Aces - Chris Banchero
6. Barangay Ginebra selects Rodney Brondial
7. 7th overall pick: San Mig Coffee trades pick to Globalport. They select Anthony Semerad.
8. 8th overall pick: Barako Bull selects Jake Pascual.
9. 9th overall pick: Rain or Shine selects Jericho Cruz.
10. 10th overall pick: Barako Bull selects David Semerad.
11. 11th overall pick: KIA selects its coach Manny Pacquiao
*Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is officially set to become PBA expansion team Kia Motors’ playing coach after he was selected 11th overall in the 2014 PBA Rookie Draft. Pacquiao, who could have been selected by a different team with any of the first 10 picks, was passed on to fall to his own team near the tail-end of the first round.
The eight-division world champion and Sarangani representative becomes the oldest rookie selected in the draft at 35 years old.It was a big night for the Pacquiao family as Manny’s cousin Rene was also selected by Kia in the third round.
