Boxing superstar and aspiring PBA player Manny Pacquiao admitted that there is a possibility that he might bet picked by a team other than his KIA Motors Kamao at the 2014 PBA Rookie Draft on Sunday.
KIA will be picking 11th overall in the draft process. This means that the other teams will get the chance to secure the Filipino champ before the Kamaos take their turn.
“Yes, hindi imposible,” Pacquiao told Spin’s Neil Bravo in an interview.
When asked which team would likely take the chance, the eight division champion replied: "Ginebra. Baka Ginebra.”
Incidentally, Pacquiao is one of the endorsers of Ginebra San Miguel, which belongs to the San Miguel Corp. group.
But things will get complicated if that happens as KIA Motors have already tabbed the Filipino boxer to be their head coach for the 40th PBA season.
Still the fighting congressman believes it will be threshed out later.
“Si Commissioner (Chito) Salud na bahala diyan,” said Pacquiao.
This year's PBA Rookie draft will be held at Midtown Atrium, Robinsons Place Manila on Sunday.
