The Philippine national men’s basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas prevailed over Elev8 squad, 93-84, on Sunday (Monday Philippine time) to win its second tuneup game during its training camp in Miami.
Elev8 was comprised of a couple of former collegiate standouts, some of whom have playing experiences in the NBA Developmental League and overseas.
“Good game and win today vs the Elev8 selection. Great ball movement. We’re getting better,” Gilas assistant Josh Reyes posted on his Instagram account after the game.
Gilas Pilipinas earlier won against a Miami Pro-Am team, 95-74, in their first tuneup game of the camp last Sunday.
The games are part of their preparations for the FIBA Basketball World Cup this August.
