Rafael Nadal crowned year-end No. 1 in special ceremony
The reception Rafael Nadal received at the O2 told a story on Saturday after the Spaniard collected his awards for ending the season as the world No. 1 and being named Comeback Player of the Year.
Before Roger Federer's clash against Juan Martin del Potro at the ATP World Tour Finals, Nadal was honoured in a special on-court ceremony to celebrate his achievements for 2013.

Former World No.1 Roger Federer splits with American coach
Roger Federer has split from his American coach Paul Annacone with the struggling Swiss former world number saying on Saturday (Sunday, PHL time) that it was the best time to make a change.
"After a terrific 3-1/2 years working together, Paul and I have decided to move on to the next chapter in our professional lives," the 32-year-old Federer said on his website.
The announcement came two days after the world number seven was dumped out of the Shanghai Masters by France's Gael Monfils.

Andy Murray withdraws from 2013 ATP World Tour Finals
Andy Murray has announced his withdrawal from the 2013 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. The World No. 3 underwent back surgery in September and is forced to withdraw from this year’s season-ending finale at The O2 in London as he continues his rehabilitation ahead of the 2014 ATP World Tour season.
"I'm really disappointed not to be playing this year, I love playing in front of my home crowd, it's a great atmosphere,” said Murray. “All the players look forward to competing in London and I'll be doing my best to qualify again for the tournament next year."

Rafa Nadal reclaims World's No.1 after reaching China Open finals
Rafa Nadal will return to the top of the men's world rankings after Tomas Berdych retired with a back injury during their China Open semifinal on Saturday.
Serb Novak Djokovic, who will lose top spot when the new rankings are announced on Monday, will meet Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the second semifinal.
Berdych, trailing 2-4 in the opening set, tweaked his back while running for a backhand slice and needed a medical time out.

Andy Murray may miss rest of 2013 season due to back surgery
World number three Andy Murray may likely miss the rest of the 2013 season after it was revealed that he will be undergoing a “minor” surgery to resolve a lingering problem/injury in his lower back.
Murray has already pulled out of the Thailand Open 2013 tournament which begins on September 23 and is expected to skip the entire Asian swing of tournaments.

ATP Rankings: Nadal climbs to No.2; Federer falls to No.7
Rafael Nadal won the Cincinnati Masters for the first time on Sunday, his ninth title of 2013 lifting him to number two in the world and stamping him as one of US Open favorites.
He beat unseeded American John Isner 7-6 (10/8), 7-6 (7/3) to add the Cincinnati crown to the Montreal Masters title he won a week before, his first ever back-to-back hardcourt trophies.
