PBA: Calvin Abueva - Jared Dillinger scuffle VIDEO

Tempers flared in the fourth quarter of Friday’s match between the Alaska Aces and the Meralco Bolts when Calvin Abueva was involved in a scuffle with Jared Dillinger at the 10:11 mark of the fourth quarter.
The incident began after Abueva challenged Dillinger on a drive to the basket. The two remained tangled as they fell toward the baseline, with Abueva appearing to hit Dillinger and dragging the Bolts forward along with him.

High-leaping forward Japeth Aguilar is beginning to win the hearts of Barangay Ginebra fans with his strong play so far in the PBA Philippine Cup, and point guard LA Tenorio said the big man should now work on being more consistent and mature.

Terrence Romeo drops 34 points to carry GlobalPort past Air 21

Rookie guard Terrence Romeo sizzled 34 points, including 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc, to carry the GlobalPort Batang Pier to a 114-100 victory over the Air 21 Express on Saturday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

The reigning UAAP Most Valuable Player sparked the Batang Pier explosion in the second half, scoring 26 of GlobalPort’s 77 points after halftime.

“Sinusunod ko lang yung mga pinapagawa sa akin ng mga coaches,” said Romeo, who needed just 17 shots to reach his total.

PBA telecast on TV5 receives complaints from fans

COMPLAINTS are mounting over the new television broadcast of the PBA games, which fans rued have left them confused and frustrated and - in the case of those with access only to free TV - completely tuned out.

At the center of the growing anger is the telecast of the first game of weekday doubleheaders, which is shown live on Aksyon TV 41 - TV5's sister channel on the UHF band - and on a delayed basis by the league's regular coveror, TV5, after its late-evening newscast.
