'2012 NBA Draft' Results: Kentucky's Anthony Davis is Picked No.1
The 2012 NBA Draft take place on Thursday, June 28, 2012 (US TIME) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The New Orleans Hornets select first after winning the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery on Wednesday, May 30.
The New Orleans Hornets picked Kentucky Power-Forward Anthony Davis and Duke Shooting Guard Austin Rivers in the Top 10 of the 2012 NBA Draft. With their picks, the combination of a defensive-minded interior presence and an outside shooting threat with a smooth handle, Hornets team is expected to play well in the Western Conference in 2012 - 2013 and into the crowded playoff race.
Like the New Orleans Hornets, the Portland Trail Blazers had two picks in the lottery in 2012 and certainly made the most of them. Portland drafted Weber State scoring point guard Damian Lillard No. 6 overall to help their point guard situation, and then acquired Illinois big man Meyers Leonard at No. 11 to pair seven-foot potential alongside All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
The combo of Leonard and Aldridge in the post should help the Trail Blazers challenge in the West next season. Portland now has one of the more intimidating front courts in basketball and is built to succeed long-term with young prospects filling the paint.

ABS-CBN Executives Received Higher Compensation Than GMA-7 Execs
They may dispute each other's rankings, but when it comes to
executive compensation, ABS-CBN is definitely way, way ahead of
competing GMA Network.
ABS-CBN reported Thursday that it paid chief executive and child of owner Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III and its four highest officers nearly P233.4 million last year, which works out to an average of P46.6 million each.
Lopez's charmed circle includes President Ma. Rosario Santos-Concio, Roldeo Theodore Endrinal, Rolando Valdueza and Ma. Socorro Vidanes.
In contrast, GMA chairman and chief executive Felipe Gozon paid
himself and his co-owner, president Gilberto Duavit Jr. as well as
Felipe Yalong, Marissa Flores and Wilma Galvante a little over P134
million, or about P23.36 million each.
The combined compensation still includes the last paycheck of broadcaster Miguel Enriquez, who retired from GMA in September 2011 as senior vice president for radio operations.

World's Biggest McDonald's Store Built For 2012 London Olympics
Daily Mail Online UK - When the Olympic Games begin in London next month, the capital will play
host to the fittest, fastest and strongest athletes in the world.
But it will also be home to a rather different superlative – the
biggest McDonald’s on the planet, right in the middle of the Olympic
park.
So while the competitors stretch themselves to their very limits, hungry spectators will gorge on tens of thousands of burgers and portions of fries.
The vast two-storey restaurant will serve up to 1,200 customers an hour and sell £3million of fast food during the Games.
At 3,000 sq ft the building, next to the Olympic Stadium, is bigger than the current largest McDonald’s, in Moscow.
The Russian restaurant will regain its title on September 9, however, when the London branch is bulldozed after the Paralympics closing ceremony.
Yesterday McDonald’s gave the media a preview of its flagship store, which includes 20 till points and 1,500 seats.
