Barangay Ginebra forward Japeth Aguilar is now the PBA’s leading scorer in the Philippine Cup and to add to his growing list of accolades, he was recently cited by FIBA for his throw-down as the best alley-oop play of 2013 in an on-line poll no doubt dominated by Filipino posts.

FIBA communications director Patrick Koller, writing from the federation head office in Mies, a Swiss border village near Geneva, alerted The Star on an article published in fiba.com about the 6-9 frontliner who scored 29 points against Alaska last Saturday to seize the top spot of the PBA scoring ladder with a 19.69 average.

Businessman Cedric Lee admitted that he was accompanied by a friend, Zimmer Raz, a 6-footer bodybuilder who knows mixed martial arts (MMA), when they beat up actor-host Vhong Navarro last week.

My Little Bossings: Torky (Vic Sotto) is a bookkeeper working for Baba (Kris Aquino) a millionaire cash management specialist. 

Because of some conflict in her business that puts her life in danger, Baba entrusts the safety of her son Justin (Bimby Aquino-Yap) to Torky who takes him home to meet his daughter Ice (Aiza Seguerra) and Ching (Ryzza Mae Dizon) the street urchin that the latter took under her wing. Given that Justin is not particularly fond of Torky, how all four of them would get along under one roof becomes the focus of the story.

Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy is a 2013 Filipino comedy parody film produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films starring Vice Ganda, Maricel Soriano, and Cristine Reyes. It is one of the official entries of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival.

In this film, Vice Ganda plays four roles: Girlie (the girl), Peter (boy), Mark ("bakla" or gay man) and Panying ("tomboy" or lesbian). These four children were separated at birth. Girlie and Peter lived with their rich dad while Mark and Panying lived with their poor mom. The four accidentally meet as adults. Peter turns out to need a liver transplant. Filipino slapstick comedy ensues as the four siblings get to know each other and decide who will help Peter.

The concept of the movie is based on a Filipino superstitious belief that one should never go home directly after visiting a wake since it risks bringing evil spirits to one's home. 

One should first shake off (in Filipino, pagpag) whatever curse there may be to avoid being trailed by the soul of the dead.
