Talk ‘N Text star Jayson Castro is man enough to accept a one-sided beating his team suffered at the hands of league-leading Petron Blaze.
What he couldn’t accept was getting what he thought was a cheap shot when the game was already decided.
After the game, Castro was still fuming over the actions of Ronald Tubid, whom he claimed to have hit him intentionally in the fourth period.
“Obvious naman. Kitang-kita naman ‘di ba? OK lang tanggap namin na talo na kami pero yung mga ganun, iba na yun hindi ba?” Castro told InterAKTV in an exclusive interview.
Television replays showed Tubid hitting Castro in the midsection during a drive attempt. Castro crumpled to the floor after the incident. The two players exchanged some words, with Castro being subbed out after getting hurt.
The incident happened midway through the fourth quarter, with Petron leading by 40 points and the game long decided. That left Castro to wonder why the shot was even necessary.
“Sinabihan ko lang siya mag-isip-isip siya. Pare-pareho naman tayong player dito so walang personal,” said Castro.
The Gilas Pilipinas guard said he isn’t taking things personally and is open to acknowledge an apology from the veteran swingman.
“Pero wala sa akin yun. Nasa sa kanya naman yun. Matanda na siya so alam na niya kung ano yung maisipan niyang gawin,” said Castro.
