The National University Bulldogs Pep Squad won the UAAP Cheerdance Competition title on Sunday, wowing the judges with a flawless routine inspired by Aladdin for 696.5 points.
Boasting of an aggressive recruitment program, NU completed its climb to the top after making its first podium appearance last year, when its finished third. Two seasons ago, the Bulldogs Pep Squad finished sixth in the competition.
“Ibinuhos ho talaga lahat ng school ang suporta sa amin, as in the other sports sa UAAP. NU kasi means business,” said NU assistant coach Gabby Bajacan prior to the tournament.
WINNERS:
CHAMPION: NU Pep Squad (696.5 pts)
1st runner-up: UP (620.5 points)
2nd runner-up: DLSU Animo Squad (596.5 points)
