Jessica Sanchez To Sing US National Anthem On Pacquaio-vs-Bradley Boxing Fight

American Idol Runner-Up Jessica Sanchez is set to sing the US National Anthem, "Star-Spangled Banner", in the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley bout in Las Vegas June 9 Saturday (June 10 Sunday, Manila Time). She confirmed it on her Twitter account today, June 6, 2012.

Filipinos replied on Jessica’s tweet right away saying that they desire Jessica to sing the ‘Lupang Hinirang’. But I guess, it will be a hard job for Jessica to sing the Philippine national anthem because of his American accent. And I am afraid that she might not sing it correctly or perfectly because she is not really good in speaking our language. And as we all know, our government especially the NHI is very very strict and is very very sensitive when it comes to our national anthem. One mistake may lead to a law suit. -- Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha, Christian Baustista , just to name a few.

But don’t get me wrong guys; I still believe that Jessica, someday, could sing the Philippine national anthem flawlessly. She just needs a long long preparation.

HUMOR: Corona Impeachment Trial Meme Feat. Miriam Santiago, Vitaliano Aguirre & Gloria Arroyo

How many times did I say that Filipinos are one of the ebullient people in the world? Many times I’m sure. We, Filipinos, can always find time to smile and laugh despite of our problems - on money, love life, economy, and politics and so on.

Just like what happened on Corona’s Impeachment Trial. For 44 Days of trial, we are glued on our television to hear the statement of the witnesses and to update ourselves on the latest stories on this historical impeachment trial in our country. And even if we deny it or not, there are certain people or personality that we can’t forget albeit the trial has ended. Private Prosecutor Vitaliano Aguirre, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, and Senator Lito Lapid, just to name a few. No doubt! They are indeed the favorite character of Filipinos on Corona-vela and the photos here are my prime evidence. Enjoy!

Here's Impeached Chief Justice Renato Corona Official Statement:
