Jordan Clarkson 'disappointed' for being unable to reinforce Gilas Pilipinas
Los Angeles Lakers Fil-Am guard Jordan Clarkson is disappointed that he could not suit up for the 2015 FIBA Asia Men's Championship and would be reduced to a cheerleader again.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas put up a last ditch effort to make Clarkson eligible for the Olympic qualifier but did not beat the deadline on Tuesday.

The Philippine national team has named its 12-man lineup for the FIBA Asia Championship this month.

UAAP 78: UP shocks La Salle for first 2-0 start in 10 years
The University of the Philippines (UP) proved that its victory over University of the East (UE) last Saturday was no fluke when it turned back De La Salle University, 71-66, at the UAAP men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday.

The Maroons dominated the Green Archers in the first three quarters and quelled La Salle’s uprising in the final period to post their second win of the season.

The Gilas Pilipinas, Philippine national men’s basketball capped their campaign in the 37th William Jones Cup with a 96-67 rout of host Chinese Taipei’s B-team that clinched the silver medal for Gilas Pilipinas on Sunday at the Xinzhuang Gym in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Gary David scored 22 points to pace Gilas Pilipinas, which finished with a 6-2 record, good enough for second place behind champions Iran.
