La Salle jumpstarts UAAP 78 campaign, beats depending champ NU Bulldogs
De la Salle shrugged off a late scare to survive National University, 67-63, and jumpstart its UAAP Season 78 campaign on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Green Archers saw their double-digit lead almost disappear no thanks to the defending champion Bulldogs’ trademark suffocating defense, but proved steady down the stretch to hold on for the hard-earned victory.

All hail the kings: Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles crowned themselves as 77th UAAP men's volleyball champion after sweeping the dethroned National University in the best-of-three finals.
Ateneo de Manila University made history by winning its first ever title, dethroning the two-time defending champion National University, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15, Saturday in Game 2 of the best-of-three 77th UAAP men’s volleyball finals series at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

UAAP 77: NU defeats FEU 75-59, wins first title in 60 years
The NU Bulldogs end a 60-year UAAP title-drought after outplaying the FEU Tamaraws, 75-59, in Game 3 of their Season 77 finals match Wednesday, October 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Bulldogs made the right plays in the final quarter to keep the Tamaraws at bay. Glenn Khobuntin hit a three-pointer and followed it up with an and-1 play to effectively put the fight away from FEU.

UAAP 77: NU Bulldogs dominate FEU 62-47, force winner-take-all Game 3
Gelo Alolino and Troy Rosario came up with big shots as National University bested Far Eastern University from start to finish in Game 2 Wednesday, 62-47, in the UAAP Season 77 men's basketball tournament finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Anchored on Rosario's dominance inside and out, the Bulldogs hounded the Tamaraws with stifling defense, rallying with a ferocious 16-3 start in the opening period.

FEU holds off NU in Game 1; Tamaraws a win away from UAAP championship (VIDEO)
The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws held off a fourth quarter rally by the National University (NU) Bulldogs to draw first blood in their best-of-three Finals series, 75-70, and move to within one win of claiming the UAAP Season 77 championship.
Mac Belo, after struggling all game with poor shooting and foul trouble, hit a lay-up over NU center Alfred Aroga with 44.6 seconds to go to extend FEU's lead to 73-48.

It was the first time in the Final Four era that neither one of traditional powerhouses Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University made it to the Finals.

National University Bulldogs beat Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles 65-63 in Do-or-Die Game Wednesday afternoon to advance to UAAP Finals after 44 years. NU will compete the winner of FEU vs La Salle match for UAAP 77 Championship crown.
The mad scramble for the last possession of the first quarter provided a good sense of foreshadowing.

NU Bulldogs led by Bobby Ray Parks in PBA D-League soon?
THE SM Group of Companies has just moved a step closer to the PBA.
The giant corporation owned by the Sy family has formalized its entry into the commercial basketball scene with the inclusion of the Banco De Oro team in the PBA D-League.
Team manager Fullton Sy confirmed BDO's entry in the developmental league, saying it is the SM group's way of giving their players from National University the needed exposure in high-level competition during the UAAP offseason.

La Salle beats NU to enter UAAP 76 Final Four (Game Replay Video)
Final Four? Check. Jeron Teng sank the go-ahead basket to lift De La Salle University to a 57-55 win over National University in the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament on Sunday, September 8 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Both squads battled toe-to-toe throughout the game, with no team blinking in a battle with massive stakes.

UAAP 76 Standings: DLSU, FEU tied at No.2; NU solo at No.1
The De La Salle University Green Archers earned a share of second place in the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament after outlasting the University of the East Red Warriors in overtime, 75-65, Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum. (watch DLSU vs UE full game replay here)
La Salle made all six of their field goal attempts in overtime and got a career-high 22 points from Jason Perkins as they marched to their fifth win in a row.

Terrence Romeo (FEU) vs Ray Parks (NU) for UAAP MVP award
Star guard Terrence Romeo of Far Eastern University leads the race for Most Valuable Player award after the first round of UAAP Season 76.
Romeo, who led the Tamaraws to a sweep of the first round, registered 79 statistical points (SPs) after averaging a league-leading 22.6 points along with 6.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

UAAP: Jeric Teng believes Jeff Javillonar’s push was intentional
De La Salle’s Jeron Teng claims that the rough play that led to his brother’s injury was done on purpose.
Jeron aired his concern through Twitter after his brother Jeric suffered a nasty fall during University of Sto. Tomas’ basketball game with National University on Wednesday.
“I know it's no accident. I've known him since RP youth days,” Jeron tweeted, alluding to Javillonar.

UAAP Season 76: Men's Basketball Games Schedule
The UAAP Season 76 has already started last weekend, with four explosive opening games for its Men's Basketball Tournament had FEU Tamaraws, UST Growling Tigers, NU Bulldogs and Adamson Soaring Falcons winning their respective games.
Probably the biggest story to highlight UAAP Season 76 Opening was the loss of 5-peat defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles during their first game Sunday against the NU Bulldogs led by last season's MVP Bobby Ray Parks Jr.

NBA Agent Targets Bobby Ray Parks For A Workout
Bobby Ray Parks may soon get a chance to work out for an NBA team.
Sheryl Reyes, a top agent who represents American imports for teams from all over the world, said she’s hooking up with several American colleagues to give the National University star an opportunity to showcase his wares stateside.
“My bet as to who among Filipino players has a chance of making it to the NBA is Ray Parks,” wrote Reyes in a text message to InterAKTV. “I will recommend him to my agents [in the US] and sponsor him for camps.”

UAAP Season 75: NU Bulldogs & FEU Tamaraws Victorious On Their Opening Games
The UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) opened its Season 75 with a theme of “Unbreakable 75” at the newly-built state-of-the-art Mall of Asia Arena yesterday, July 14, 2012 Saturday. This season’s host is the National University.
The opening games are between National University (NU) Bulldogs vs. the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors and University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers vs. Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws.
NU Bulldogs was the one who’s controlling the game between UE Red Warriors. They defeated UE with a very wide margin, 90-55.
Meanwhile in the 2nd game, The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws was hailed victorious after they defeated the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers 73-72.
