The UFC on FOX 17 co-main event brought with it another upset as No. 9 ranked Alistair Overeem knocked out former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos in the second round to edge closer to a title shot.
R2: Dos Santos catches Overeem square in the cup with a front kick and we pause while he recovers. Chopping inside low kick lands for Dos Santos on the restart. Overeem answers in kind. Stomp kick to the knee from Overeem, then a left roundhouse kick to the ribs. A jumping stomp kick to the knee now from Overeem. Clean left body kick from Overeem and Dos Santos whiffs with the wheel kick.
Nate Diaz vs Michael Johnson (FULL FIGHT REPLAY VIDEO) UFC on FOX 17
In one of the absolute best performances of his career, Nate Diaz looked absolutely resurgent in dismantling Michael Johnson over the course of three rounds.
Johnson flashed his speed in the early going, kicking the leg of Diaz’s traditionally wide stance. Diaz happily stood firm in the pocket and returned fire, finding range with his hands as the round wore on. Johnson continued to land kick after kick, chopping away at the leg, while Diaz smiled, talked and rattled off punches.

The Barangay Ginebra Kings went to their second unit to overcome a huge deficit against the NLEX Road Warriors and hack out a gutsy 91-90 victory in the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Gin Kings trailed by as much as 22 points in the third quarter, struggling to defend NLEX in transition and in the half court, but buoyed by a vocal weekend crowd at the Big Dome, they roared back in the final quarter to claim their sixth win of the conference.

Conor McGregor made good on his promise as he took down Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds to become the undisputed UFC featherweight champion on Sunday (Manila time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
In the weeks leading to the fight, McGregor repeatedly said he will make history and destroy Aldo.

Luke Rockhold handed Chris Weidman the first loss of his UFC career and claimed the middleweight championship with a superb performance in the co-main event of UFC 194 Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Rockhold took advantage of a poor tactical decision made by Weidman late in the third round to take control of the fight completely, en route to a fourth-round technical knockout victory.
