ON-THE-PLATE: Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

I enrolled in a baking class this semester. Baking is close to my heart. Ito yung bagay na hindi ko kinapapaguran dahil masaya ako kapag ginagawa ko ‘to.

So, since the semester has started last year, I learned to bake different bake products. First, we started icing to cupcakes then cookies.

Ang una kong isi-share ay ang Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies which I find really delicious. Sha nga pala, mga 'masasarap' na bagay lang ang isi-share ko. :)
Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 cups uncooked oats
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • In a mixing bowl, Cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
  • Add and mix egg and vanilla to the mixture.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, then add it to the first mixing bowl.
  • Add and mix the oats, ground nutmeg,  and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Set aside. Put inside refrigerator for 1 hour. (you can skip this process)
  • Ready to bake.
Baking Process:
  • Grease baking sheets with butter.
  • Make a small ball out of the mixtures.
  • Put the molded small ball in the baking sheets with 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.

"You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands: you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you."
