UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2012 Videos Replay



MANILA, Philippines  – The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad has won the Samsung UAAP Cheerdance Competition for the third straight year.

Sporting shaved heads, the UP cheering team bested the 7 other UAAP pep squads in front of nearly 20,000 spectators at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on Saturday.

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad settled for 1st-runner up, while the National University (NU) Cheer Squadron ended up winning 2nd-runner up honors.
UP took home the P340,000 top prize and a trophy.



FEU settled for the P200,000 second place prize, while 3rd placer NU pocketed P140,000.

2012 1st runner-up FEU Cheering Squad goes wild in their jungle-inspired routine

Also known as the NU Cheer Squadron, the NU Pep Squad takes on Disney classics to win 3rd place in its first ever podium finish in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition

Fourth Placer, the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe, performs a Brazilian-inspired routine.

The Ateneo Blue Babble Batallion takes on Japanese anime in a routine capped off with a Voltes V replica. Ateneo finished 6th.

The DLSU Animo Squad dons gloves in a boxing-inspired routine. DLSU finished 5th.

The UE Pep Squad channels "immortal gods" in their 2012 routine. UE finished 8th.
