Manny Pacquiao won a lopsided decision over a badly outclassed Chris Algieri on Sunday after his best performance in the square ring since suffering two stunning losses in 2012. 

Pacquiao, 35, was in vintage form infront of a sellout crowd at the Cotai Arena, knocking Algieri down six times on the way to a lopsided unanimous decision victory to retain his WBO welterweight title.

So badly outclassed was the previously unbeaten Algieri that the 'Pacman' won every round and was all over the American, who spent much of the match trying to keep out of harm's way and finish the fight on his feet. 

He survived - but barely. The three judges gave the fight to the eight-division world champion by scores of 119-103, 119-103, 120-102 after a one-sided battle that shouldn't have been decided by the scorecards in the first place.

The Filipino icon, afterall, was never in trouble against Algieri, who spent the entire much back-pedalling he forgot that boxing is all about throwing punches.
