Floyd Mayweather Jr defeats Manny Pacquiao via 'unanimous decision'
Floyd Mayweather Jr's boxing record remain spotless (48-0) as he defeated Philippines' Pride Manny Pacquiao via unanimous decision. Judges scores are; 118-110, 116-112, 116-112.
Mayweather now 48-0: "I wanna thank God for this victory, I wanna thank the fans in Vegas, in the world".
Mayweather on Pacquiao: "He's a tough competitot. I had to take my time and watch him completely close."
Pacquiao on Mayweather: "It's a good fight. I thought I won the fight. He didn't do anything."

Floyd Mayweather was too fast and too skillful for Manny Pacquiao as he boxed his way to a decision victory on Saturday, May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The scores were 118-110 on Dave Moretti's card and 116-112 on the cards of Burt Clements and Glenn Feldman.
Mayweather (48-0, 26 knockouts) who unified the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles, came out aggressively in the first three rounds as Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) struggled to break through the defense and jab of the Grand Rapids, Mich. native.
Pacquiao his moments in the fourth and sixth rounds, when his straight left hands found the chin of Mayweather, knocking him into the ropes where the 8-division boxing champion landed his best punches.
But as the rounds progressed, Mayweather's counter right hands found their mark with increasing regularity as Pacquiao was unable to cut off the ring effectively.
