Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez made quick work of challenger Antonio "Big Foot" Silva to successfully defend his title belt in the main event of UFC 160 in Las Vegas.

Velasquez caught Silva coming in with a straight left, and then landed a short right hand that connected on Silva's chin, dropping the Brazilian challenger to the canvas.The champion followed it up with vicious ground-and-pound as Silva tried in vain to defend himself. The referee stopped the fight at the 1:21 mark of the very first round.

Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva is anxious to go toe-to-toe against current heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez in this weekend’s UFC 160.

Silva said he is already envisioning himself as the next UFC heavyweight champion. Silva lost in his UFC debut against Velasquez in May 2012, but bounced back with sensational victories over Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem. Meanwhile heavy favorite UFC champion Cain Velasquez refuses to underestimate the slower but bigger Brazilian. Velasquez, who is making his first title defense since reclaiming his crown from Junior Dos Santos, said every fighter is dangerous, including Silva.
