ALLAN THE MAN

MANILA, Philippines - Close to three weeks after the melee between Ramon Tulfo and the group of Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto, TV5 got hold of a copy of a video purportedly showing that it was the latter who first hurt the columnist and TV5 host. 

The video shows a man in a pink shirt who was talking to Tulfo. The man was beside a woman in pink tops and white shorts, attire that is similar to what Barretto was wearing during the May 6 incident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City. 

The man in pink shirt was seen on the video hitting Tulfo in the head with his left hand. 

The scene reportedly took place before the melee.

Tulfo had said he was simply trying to pacify Barretto, Santiago's wife, who was allegedly verbally abusing a ground crew over her offloaded luggage, when Santiago turned on him. 

Tulfo said he had arrived from Davao onboard a Cebu Pacific flight when he chanced upon Barretto scolding the ground crew of Cebu Pacific.

Tulfo said he was taking pictures of Barretto while also trying to pacify her when Santiago came up to him and allegedly tried to get his cellphone. He refused, and he said that was when all the trouble started. 

The Santiagos have kept saying the amateur video earlier uploaded on youtube [ watch here ], showing their group ganging up on Tulfo, told only the second half of the story, because, they claimed, before this happened, it was Tulfo who first hit them, prompting the group to retaliate. 

The 59-second video posted by glamchiq00 showed Santiago charging at Tulfo and people trying to stop the fist fight.

The video was uploaded after news broke out earlier in the afternoon about the incident.

Both Tulfo and Santiago were among the top trending topics on microblogging site Twitter because of the incident.

Santiago’s wife, actress Claudine Barretto, said she is challenging Tulfo to show the video which he claims caught her scolding the airport staff. Barretto also appealed to airport authorities to release the CCTV footage to determine who really started the brawl between Tulfo and her husband.

The amateur video was immediately shared on other social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

“I don't know what happened, but from this video, mas hinawakan at inawat si Mon Tulfo ng mga guards than Raymart Santiago. Walang pumigil kay Raymart sa pagsuntok niya kay Mon Tulfo while Tulfo was held down by the airport guards,” journalist Joel Pablo Salud said on Facebook.
