Nonito Donaire Jr. Destroys William Prado in two rounds (FULL FIGHT REPLAY VIDEO)
WBO light flyweight champion Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes and Filipino boxing star Nonito Donaire sent their countrymen home happy after scoring big victories in their respective matches on Saturday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Nietes, the longest reigning Filipino boxing world champion, made a sixth successful defense of the title he won back in 2011 after a 10th round technical knockout victory over Mexican Gilberto Parra.

Nonito Donaire vs Nicholas Walters FULL FIGHT REPLAY VIDEO
Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire suffered the third loss of his career in stunning fashion as he was brutally knocked out by Jamaica's Nicholas Walters with just seconds to go in the sixth round of their featherweight showdown Saturday in Carson, California (Sunday in Manila).
Walters, nicknamed the "Axe Man," overwhelmed Donaire with his size and punching power, and connected on a huge overhand right that landed behind the Filipino's ear with less than 10 seconds left in the sixth round.

WATCH: Nonito Donaire knocked out by Nicholas Walters (VIDEO)
Former world champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire was brutally knocked out by Jamaica's Nicholas "Axe Man" Walters towards the end of the sixth round of their featherweight fight.
Walters connected on an overhand right that sent Donaire sprawling to the canvas, and the Jamaican was named the winner by knockout at the 2:59 mark of the sixth frame.

Former world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire overcame a slow start to once again defeat Armenian fighter Vic “The Raging Bull” Darchinyan in their highly anticipated rematch Saturday in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Donaire defeated Darchinyan when they first fought in July 2007 at the flyweight division, knocking out the then-unbeaten Armenian in the fifth round in a bout that announced his entrance to boxing stardom.

On Saturday night (Sunday morning PHL time) in Corpus Christi, Texas, four-division world champion Nonito Donaire makes his long-awaited return to action after losing to Guillermo Rigondeaux by unanimous decision last April. His opponent will be the always ready Vic Darchinyan.
Donaire's Round 5, one-punch stoppage of Darchinyan in July 2007 is among the most famous knockouts of the past decade. Australia-based Armenian Vic Darchinyan revealed that apart from avenging the most embarrassing loss of his career, he also wants to refute a particular praise about his Filipino tormentor.
Sunday morning (Manila Time) Darchinyan will meet Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire in a 10-round non-title Featherweight bout, six years after the two met in a fight that changed the course of both fighters in a more positive way.

Filipino fighter Nonito Donaire dropped a unanimous decision to undefeated Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila) in New York City.
The smaller Rigondeaux, who spent most of the middle rounds dancing around Donaire, won in 114-113, 115-112, and 116-111.
Donaire lost to the two-time Olympic champion despite scoring a knockdown in the 10th round, the most action-packed chapter of the fight that drew boos from the crowd in attendance.
“It was close. I don’t think he won the fight,” said Donaire, who nonetheless gave Rigondeaux credit.
“He did well. That was my mistake for not changing up.”
The loss continued a streak of tough losses for top Filipino fighters. Manny Pacquiao suffered back-to-back defeats to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez, while Brian Viloria lost his title to Juan Francisco Estrada last week.
Donaire lost his WBA world junior featherweight title and saw his 12-year, 30-fight winning streak snapped.
'Donaire vs Rigondeaux' Boxing Match Live Streaming
Nonito Donaire vs Guillermo Rigondeaux Boxing Match. Several boxing analysts are expecting a “tough fight” for Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire against two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeux of Cuba for the WBO and WBA junior featherweight championship on April 13 (US time) April 14 (Manila time).
“Rigondeaux has a tremendous amateur pedigree. He's been a good pro, he is unbeaten, but Nonito is in a class of his own right now… he is a rare combination of speed and power. I see him actually winning this fight -- and winning in a spectacular fashion on the 13th,” said James Smith of “In this Corner.”
Although Rigondeaux seems to be the underdog, boxing experts said Donaire still needs to keep his guard.
The Donaire-Rigondeaux fight will take place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York.

A week after Filipinos were stunned by the sixth-round knockout loss of Manny Pacquiao to Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez, Donaire lifted their spirits as he outclassed Arce en route to a third-round technical knockout victory.
"I went out and pretty much timed him. We wanted to slow him down and get him thinking he could get in there," Donaire said. "We knew he would open up."

MANILA, Philippines – Thirteen experts polled by The RING Magazine predict a victory for Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire when he takes on veteran Mexican warrior Jorge Arce on Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
In what will be his fourth fight for the year, Donaire will defend his RING and World Boxing Organization super bantamweight belts against Arce.
Arce, a veteran of 69 professional fights with a record of 61 wins, six losses and two draws, promised to “give Mexico another great satisfaction” by beating Donaire, in the same way countryman Juan Manuel Marquez knocked out Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao named 'Fighter of the Decade'; Donaire wins 'Fighter of the Year' by WBO
SINGAPORE, Singapore – Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, boxing’s only 8-division world champion was named "Fighter of the Decade" by the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
Despite dropping a widely unpopular unanimous decision to Timothy Bradley earlier this year in which he lost his WBO Welterweight title, Pacquiao continues to receive awards and recognitions for the body of work he has completed in his career.

MANILA, Philippines – Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire solidified his status as one of the top boxers in the super bantamweight division after beating Japanese boxer Toshiaki Nishioka in their title unification bout Saturday at the Home Depot Center in California (Sunday in Manila).
Donaire outclassed Nishioka with superior speed and timing and negated the Japanese’s attacks with his counter-punching.
