Rafael Nadal captures 2nd US Open title; beats Djokovic (Highlights)
Rafael Nadal won the 2013 US Open after beating Novak Djokovic, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 on Monday night, September 9, (Tuesday in Manila, September 10) in New York.
Nadal, who recovered from a long layoff due to injury, annexed his second US Open crown and won his 13th Grand Slam title to move within one of surpassing second-placed Pete Sampras (14) and all-time leader Roger Federer (17).

Rafa Nadal books US Open finals duel with Novak Djokovic
Rafael Nadal comfortably dealt with France's Richard Gasquet 6-4 7-6(1), 6-2, on Saturday (Sunday, PHL time) to move into the final of the U.S. Open where he faces a highly anticipated clash with world number one Novak Djokovic.
After Djokovic needed five sets to deal with a determined Stanislas Wawrinka in their earlier semifinal, second-seed Nadal's task was almost routine against an opponent he has now beaten in all 11 meetings between the pair.

Serena Williams, Djokovic, Murray roar into US Open 4th round
Serena Williams avenged her loss to Sloane Stephens earlier this year by thrashing her fellow American in straight sets on Sunday (Monday in Manila) to reach the quarter-finals of the U.S. Open.
The world number one showed no mercy against Stephens, crushing the rising star 6-4 6-1 to remain on course to defend the U.S. Open title she won last year and restore the sport's world order.

2013 US Open Draw: Nadal vs Federer in QF; Djokovic vs Murray in SF
The 2013 US Open Men’s Singles Draw was made known on Thursday, August 22, 2013 with interesting match-ups projected in the latter stages of the tournament.
There will be no repeat of the 2012 US Open final as top seed Novak Djokovic and defending champion Andy Murray have been drawn in the top half of the 128-man draw. Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are both in the bottom half of the draw and could meet in a blockbuster quarter-final clash.

Nadal beats Roger Federer; Djokovic ousted in Cincinnati (VIDEO)
World No.3 Rafael Nadal has come back to defeat Roger Federer 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in their blockbuster quarter-final duel under the lights in Cincinnati. It was their 31st encounter, one of their very best, and one that ended in dramatic fashion on Nadal's fifth match point.
Nadal, last week’s champion in Montreal, extended his winning streak on hard courts in 2013 to 13-0 with the win. He has moved one step closer to claiming his fifth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown of the year, a feat he has yet to accomplish in his storied career.

Nadal through, Djokovic, Azarenka out at Madrid Masters 2013
Rafael Nadal made a comfortable start to his quest for a third Madrid Masters title on Wednesday but Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka slumped to a shock exit.
Nadal eased past Frenchman Benoit Paire 6-3, 6-4 and will next face Mikhail Youzhny of Russia for a place in the quarter-finals.
One break in each set was enough for Nadal as he overcame some impressive variety and touch shown by Paire early on to break when the world number 37 was serving at 2-3 down in the opening set, before eventually sealing it 6-3.
