Ellen Degeneres invites Youtube sensation, Aldrich Lloyd, to her show

American talk show host Ellen Degeneres professes being blown away by yet another Filipino singer. General Santos City's Aldrich Lloyd Talonding has become an Internet sensation among Filipinos for his pitch-perfect rendition of "Dance with my Father"

The video has gone viral, and obviously made a fan of Degeneres. Now, after inviting singers like Charice and Rhap Salazar, Ellen wants to hear Lloyd live.

NBA star Jason Collins reveals he's gay

Basketball center Jason Collins on Monday became the first active player in a major American professional team sport to reveal he is gay -- a groundbreaking disclosure greeted with broad support.

"I didn't set out to be the first openly gay athlete playing in a major American team sport," Collins said. "But since I am, I'm happy to start the conversation."The 34-year-old free agent who has played for six NBA teams over the past 12 seasons, went public with his sexuality in an essay published on Sports Illustrated magazine's website.

Among those backing Collins was US President Barack Obama.

Alaska’s Calvin Abueva bashed San Mig Coffee’s James Yap for accusing the former of playing dirty during their tussle in the 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals.

“Lahat naman ng laro physical, hindi ba? Kung isa sa amin ayaw masaktan, eh di mag-chess na lang siya,” the former San Sebastian standout said in Mei-Lin Lozada’s Spin.ph report.

Retired NBA legend Michael Jordan married model Yvette Prieto at a ceremony in Florida on Saturday with a lavish reception at a luxury golf community, People magazine reported on Sunday.

Jordan, 50, led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles during his playing days and his name remains one of the top brands in sports marketing. He now owns the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats.

Prieto, 35, met Jordan at a Miami club in 2008 and they have dated for five years. The couple became engaged in 2011 and applied for a marriage license last month at the county courthouse in Palm Beach, Florida.
