PBA 2015 FREE LIVE STREAM: Purefoods vs Blackwater
The 2015 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner's Cup is the second conference of the 2014-15 PBA season. The tournament started on January 27, 2015 and scheduled to finish around April 2015. The tournament allows teams to hire foreign players or imports with a height limit of 6'9" for the top eight teams of the Philippine Cup, while the bottom four teams will be allowed to hire imports with no height limit.

Members of the San Mig Coffee Mixers will be donning a new set of uniforms in the coming PBA Philippine Cup.
This time they are bringing back the name “Purefoods” and relive the franchise's legendary years in the 1980s and 1990s.

Veteran coach Tom Newell praises San Mig: 'Best team I've been around in 45 years'
AFTER working with San Mig Super Coffee in practice for the past five days, visiting former NBA coach Tom Newell said he is convinced that the Mixers are “the best team he has seen in his 45 years of teaching basketball in 47 countries."
Newell, who has worked with the Golden State Warriors, the New Jersey Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Dallas Mavericks in various capacities in a long coaching career, is in town for a week to help the PBA's reigning gran slam champions prepare for the upcoming PBA season.

The San Mig Super Coffee Mixers ended the title reign of the Alaska Aces after an 79-65 victory in the deciding Game Three of their PLDT Home TVolution Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals on Saturday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Like any other rookie, Justin Melton had butterflies in his stomach in his first practice game with his new PBA team.
What made it worse was that he was joining the San Mig Coffee Mixers, a team stacked with star power from its lineup led by superstar James Yap to its coaching staff, which includes legends such as Johnny Abarrientos.

Rain or Shine denies trading Beau Belga to San Mig Coffee
Rain or Shine team governor Atty. Mert Mondragon vehemently denied rumors circulating that they already have the second pick after trading Beau Belga and their third pick to San Mig Coffee Mixers.
“No, that’s not true. We just signed Beau to a contract renewal last Tuesday,” said Mondragon in an interview with Solar Sports Desk in Sydney, Australia.
The soft-spoken official likewise hinted that they will exercise their third pick right, hoping to get the big man they have long lacked in their roster.

PBA officials deny sideline spat in San Mig Coffee-Meralco Game 4
TWO league governors were quick to play down a reported spat at the sidelines of the heated match between San Mig Coffee and Meralco in the PBA Governors Cup semifinals on Sunday night.
Witnesses said Meralco board representative Ramon Segismundo and San Mig governor Rene Pardo exchanged angry gestures during one controversial play just before halftime in the Mixers' 79-73 victory in Game Four.
Segismundo, who is the incoming league chairman, admitted he made gestures towards the San Mig bench but said it was not directed at any member of the team but at a referee which Pardo and Mixers coach Tim Cone were talking to at that time.

San Mig Coffee beats Meralco in PBA Semis Game 3 (REPLAY VIDEO)
San Mig Coffee moved one step away from a return to the Governors’ Cup finals, and the Mixers found a most unlikely hero in Alex Mallari. The rookie guard scored a career-high 23 points, including 13 in the fourth period, to lead his team’s 94-87 win on Friday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
“Alex was awesome tonight,” said San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone. The Mixers caught a good break when Meralco import Mario West left with a right shoulder sprain after a foul by San Mig Coffee forward Joe Devance.
“We were fortunate that Mario went out,” said Cone. Despite playing with an all-Filipino lineup, the Bolts did not go away. They were still within striking distance trailing by two points, 81-79, when Mallari hit a three-pointer with 2:38 left.

Meralco ties the series 1-1 vs San Mig Coffee (REPLAY VIDEO)
The Meralco Bolts figured in another defensive slugfest against the San Mig Coffee Mixers, but this time came out on top with a 73-69 victory on Tuesday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
With the win, the Bolts tied the series at 1-all. Meralco used a balanced attack to win its first final four game in franchise history, with five players finishing in double-figures. Mario West struggled from the field anew, scoring 17 points but going just 8-of-36 (22 percent) from the field.

The San Mig Coffee Mixers used tough defense to go on a late run to get away from the Meralco Bolts, 83-73, in the opening game of their best-of-five semifinals series on Sunday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
It was a tight defensive struggle between the two teams for most of the game, with Meralco behind by only a single point midway through the fourth quarter, 70-69, after a desperation three-pointer by John Wilson to beat the 24-second buzzer.

SAN Mig Coffee star James Yap has vowed not to let Alaska rookie Calvin Abueva get on his nerves, hours before the two teams renew their rivalry in the PBA Governors Cup quarterfinals.
Yap and Abueva have had much publicized skirmishes in the past, the last in the Commissioner's Cup semifinals that degenerated into a war of words and dragged Yap's teammate Marc Pingris into the fray.

PBA: Salud explains heavy sanctions vs players involved in brawl
Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner Chito Salud said the sanctions handed down against the players involved in the free-for-all between San Mig Coffee and GlobalPort depended on the gravity of their actions.
GlobalPort’s Kelly Nabong and San Mig Coffee’s Marc Pingris, who were at the center of the melee, were fined P60,000 each and were suspended for two games.

San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone knows that the sanctions meted by the PBA to his key players Marc Pingris and Joe Devance is beyond the team’s control.
With the league handing a two-game ban on Pingris and a one-game suspension on Devance for their roles in the melee that broke out between the Mixers and the GlobalPort Batang Pier last Wednesday, Cone remained positive about San Mig Coffee’s chances in their upcoming matches.
