PBA: San Mig Coffee reverts back to Purefoods (James Yap PHOTOS)
Members of the San Mig Coffee Mixers will be donning a new set of uniforms in the coming PBA Philippine Cup.
This time they are bringing back the name “Purefoods” and relive the franchise's legendary years in the 1980s and 1990s.

The San Mig Super Coffee Mixers rallied past the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters for a 99-91 victory in Game Four to win the PLDT Home TVolution Commissioner’s Cup on Thursday at PhilSports Arena.
The Mixers won the third jewel in the PBA’s triple crown and moved one more tournament away from winning the league’s coveted Grand Slam.
But the San Mig Coffee had to go through the eye of the needle against a proud Tropang Texters side determined to go down fighting.

Tim Cone compares resting Yap, Pingris, Simon to Duncan, Manu, Parker tactics
In the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs have the veteran Big Three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili.
The PBA’s San Mig Super Coffee Mixers also have their own veteran Big Three with James Yap, Marc Pingris, and Peter June Simon.
San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone made the connection himself when trying to explain why he makes sure to give his veteran stars ample rest amid their heated PLDT Home TVolution Commissioner’s Cup series against Talk ‘N Text.

James Yap no rush to marry again
James Yap shrugged off talks that he and his Italian girlfriend are already planning to tie the knot in the near future.
In an interview with “Buzz ng Bayan” aired on Sunday, Yap said it is important for them to really get to know each other first before jumping into another life-long commitment.
“Wala pa. Basta ang mahalaga is masaya kami. Ang importante is kailangan talaga kilalanin ang isa’t isa para maging smooth ang relationship niyo,” he said.

SAN Mig Coffee star James Yap has vowed not to let Alaska rookie Calvin Abueva get on his nerves, hours before the two teams renew their rivalry in the PBA Governors Cup quarterfinals.
Yap and Abueva have had much publicized skirmishes in the past, the last in the Commissioner's Cup semifinals that degenerated into a war of words and dragged Yap's teammate Marc Pingris into the fray.

San Mig Coffee acquires Allein Maliksi as James Yap struggles
SAN Mig Coffee Mixers is set to acquire Allein Maliksi in a trade with Barako Bull to widen its scoring options in the PBA Governors Cup, especially with superstar James Yap continuing to struggle from the floor.
Team insiders revealed on Friday that San Mig has agreed a deal that would enable them to get Maliksi from Barako Bull in exchange for veteran forward Wesley Gonzales and guard Chris Pacana.

SAN Mig Coffee forward Marc Pingris on Tuesday waded into the war of words between Calvin Abueva and James Yap over their physical skirmishes in Game Two of their best-of-five semifinals series in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, warning the Alaska rookie to brace for all-out war in Game Three on May 8.
Leaping to the defense of hobbled teammate Yap who he felt was at the receiving end of some 'cheap shots' from the physical Alaska rookie sensation, Pingris said he and the entire San Mig team have no reason to fear 'The Beast.'
"Parating mo sa kanya 'to: tignan natin kung sino ang physical next game," an infuriated Pingris told Spin.ph. "Abueva, sino ka para katakutan ko?"

Calvin Abueva to James Yap: "Mag-chess na lang siya"
Alaska’s Calvin Abueva bashed San Mig Coffee’s James Yap for accusing the former of playing dirty during their tussle in the 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals.
Abueva said that if the two-time PBA Most Valuable Player can’t handle a physical game, then the latter should go and play chess instead.
“Lahat naman ng laro physical, hindi ba? Kung isa sa amin ayaw masaktan, eh di mag-chess na lang siya,” the former San Sebastian standout said in Mei-Lin Lozada’s Spin.ph report.

ABS-CBN released it's official statement regarding the resignation of Kris Aquino which she announced on National TV via TV Patrol.
According to the statement by the Head of ABS-CBN Integrated Corporate Communications Bong Osorio, Kris Aquino will have to stay to all of her shows including her primetime soap "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw' and in 'Pilipinas Got Talent' which will end in June.

Kris Aquino files a Permanent Protection Order (TRO) under Republict Act 9262 o Anti-Violence Against Women And Their Children Act against ex-husband cager James Yap before the Makati City court due to “overstepping his boundaries and of attempting to seduce her while visiting her home, and of inflicting psychological harm on their son Bimby.”
In her petition, Kris asked the court to “to stay away from her, her 5-year-old son Bimby and any household member, keep a distance of at least 100 meters, and to stay away from her residence, school, place of employment or any place frequented by her and her son.”
