'It's More Fun In The Philippines" Domestic Jingle
Department of Tourism has just recently released the 'Domestic Jingle' for "It's More Fun In The Philippines" Campaign through their official account in the video-sharing site Youtube. According to DOT, the lyrics of the jingle are written by Tin Sanchez while the music is composed by Mike Villegas. The jingle is musically arranged by Angelo Villegas and sang by Filipino Artist Jay Padua. As of this writing, the video is viewed 15,573 times. (konti pa lang)
I personally find the jingle lively and the lyrics are captivating. Gusto ko yung part na:
"It's more fun in the Philippines! Bakit pa lalayo? Sobrang swerte kaya ng tsinelas mo! Nakatapak ka sa paraiso!""It's more fun in the Philippines! Bakit pa lalayo? Mula Batanes hanggang Jolo Iba ang saya ng Pilipino! It's more fun in the Philippines! "
...'cause it simply says everything about sa Philippines at sa mga Filipinos. Kaya naman kudos sa mga nagpakahirap gumawa ng jingle na 'to.
At sana yung International Jingle ay mas maganda kaysa dito -- yung parang ka-level na ng 'Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas' ni Angeline Quinto. On second thought, bakit hindi na lang kaya yun ang gamiting pang-international...gawan na lang ng paraan na mai-pasok sa kanta yung line na 'Its More Fun In The Philippines'. noh? para RE-USE lang ang ganap. Parang yung slogan lang naten. It's More Fun In Switzerland The Philippines. haha! *peace po*
Kidding aside, We, Filipinos, must fully-support every single step that our tourism department is doing. After all, tayo rin ang makikinabang kapag naging successful ang DOT sa pag-promote sa bansa naten. Right??

I like the new slogan. It's catchy and is more likely to draw the attention of foreign tourists. However, I like the former slogan. What do you think?
ReplyDeletewhat former slogan? the WOW Philippines? No doubt maganda yung 'WOW' slogan but the problem with that slogan is that hindi siya interactive tulad ng "It's More Fun" na pwede kang gumawa ng photo meme.
ReplyDeleteFor Me, 'Its More Fun' is the most-successful tourism slogan of the Philippines because the slogan itself is COMPETITIVE, ATTRACTIVE and INTERACTIVE na.
