La Salle beats NU to enter UAAP 76 Final Four (Game Replay Video)
Final Four? Check. Jeron Teng sank the go-ahead basket to lift De La Salle University to a 57-55 win over National University in the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament on Sunday, September 8 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Both squads battled toe-to-toe throughout the game, with no team blinking in a battle with massive stakes.
After the Bulldogs built a 52-43 lead with 5 minutes left, the Green Archers went on an 11-1 blast spearheaded by Jeron Teng, who made 4 straight free-throws to shove the Taft-based squad ahead.
Ray Parks stopped the bleeding for NU with a basket with 1:01 left before Teng recovered his own miss to seal the deal for La Salle.
The Archers won their 6th straight game to grab a share of the top spot with a 9-4 record.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs saw their 6-match winning streak come to a halt.
