James Yap no rush to marry again
James Yap shrugged off talks that he and his Italian girlfriend are already planning to tie the knot in the near future.
In an interview with “Buzz ng Bayan” aired on Sunday, Yap said it is important for them to really get to know each other first before jumping into another life-long commitment.
“Wala pa. Basta ang mahalaga is masaya kami. Ang importante is kailangan talaga kilalanin ang isa’t isa para maging smooth ang relationship niyo,” he said.
Yap said he is in no rush to wed again after his first marriage with television host Kris Aquino failed.
“Ang pagpapakasal kasi nandiyan lang. Hindi naman mawawala iyan. Hindi naman minamadali ang pagpapakasal. Ang sa akin lang, enjoy lang muna kami,” he said.
Yap went public with his relationship with girlfriend Michela Cazzola only last June.
This came after a series of controversies involving him and his former wife, actress-host Kris Aquino, and their only child, James "Bimby" Yap, Jr. Aquino and Yap were married in civil rites in July 2005.
In a previous interview, Cazzola said it is too early to talk about marriage since they have only been together for a little over a year.
“Marriage? Oh my Gosh. I don’t know. It’s too early. Not yet, but you know, two people think about that, but not formal yet,” she said.
However, she also hinted that it could possibly happen next year.
“Maybe next year. Maybe the wedding will come next year. You’d be the first to find out,” she said.
