‘Kumusta Manila’: Gilas’ naturalization bet Andray Blatche on his way to the PH
Filipino fans could soon be getting their first look at NBA player Andray Blatche, the Philippine national men’s basketball team’s most recent addition, as the big man is reportedly on his way to the country.
Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes said on his Twitter account that Blatche, whose naturalization has already been approved by both chambers of Congress and is merely awaiting the signature of President Benigno Aquino III for the measure to be enacted into law, is already on a plane headed here and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning.

Reyes told InterAksyon that Blatche will be in the Philippines for only two or three days with a schedule that includes meeting with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Manuel V. Pangilinan and the Gilas Pilipinas team members and a visit to the Senate.
It could also include an appearance in the PBA coverage of Sunday’s games.
