PSC to tap Fil-foreign athletes for Asian Games, Youth Games
The Philippines is planning and hoping to discover more Fil-foreign athletes to represent the country in next year’s Asian Games and the Youth Olympic Games.
Philippines Sports Commission chairman Richie Garcia bared the plan after he was named chef-de-mission to the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea on Sept. 19-Oct. 4.

Gilas Pilipinas to receive another P1 Million bonus from PSC
When it rains, it pours for the Gilas-Pilipinas basketball team.
Already set to receive at least P1.5 million each from their benefactor and patron Manny V. Pangilinan, the members of the national team divide another P1 million to be given by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) for its runner-up finish in the recent FIBA Asia Championship.

PFF, PSC preparing for potential Suzuki Cup Football Home Match
The Philippine Football Federation, together with the Philippine Sports Commission, is exerting all efforts to make the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium a viable home venue for the national football team should it advance to the semifinals of the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup.
When the Azkals reached the semifinals of the Suzuki Cup two years ago, the Filipinos were forced to play their home match in Indonesia due to a lack of venue that meets the organizers’ standard. Indonesia won the series on aggregate, 2-0, to end the team’s surprising run in the tournament.
