Manny Pacquiao 'happy' over Juan Manuel Marquez' loss to Bradley

Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao seems to have gotten some satisfaction from his Mexican rival’s recent loss to reigning WBO welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley.

In a teleconference with boxing media last Thursday, the former eight-division world champion said he was pleased with the outcome of the welterweight title fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Bradley.

The unbeaten American edged the 40-year-old Marquez via split decision to retain the WBO welterweight belt.

San Mig Coffee official denies PBA Finals is scripted

THERE is no such thing as 'bigayan' in the PBA.

This was the strong denial made by San Miguel Corp. head of basketball operations Robert Non in the face of mounting accusations from fans that the battle between sister teams San Mig and Petron was 'scripted' to go the distance.

“It doesn’t exist, whether magkapareho ng management or magkaibang teams, there is no such term as ‘bigayan’ or giving away a game,” Non, also the current league chairman, toldSpin.ph on Thursday. “There is no such thing as ‘bigayan’ in the PBA.”
