FEU holds off NU in Game 1; Tamaraws a win away from UAAP championship (VIDEO)

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws held off a fourth quarter rally by the National University (NU) Bulldogs to draw first blood in their best-of-three Finals series, 75-70, and move to within one win of claiming the UAAP Season 77 championship.

2014 Asian Games host South Korea clinched the gold medal on their own home soil after outlasting mighty Iran, 79-77, to sweep the men’s basketball tournament in Incheon, Korea.

Mac Belo's Game Winner Beats La Salle; Pushes FEU Into UAAP 77 Finals (VIDEO)

Mac Belo drained a three at the buzzer to lift FEU past the DLSU Green Archers, 67-64, in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday evening at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Belo scored 23 points, including the game-winning three, to help the Tamaraws advance to the finals.

NU Bulldogs beat Ateneo 65-63 to advance to UAAP 77 Finals

National University Bulldogs beat Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles 65-63 in Do-or-Die Game Wednesday afternoon to advance to UAAP Finals after 44 years. NU will compete the winner of FEU vs La Salle match for UAAP 77 Championship crown.
The mad scramble for the last possession of the first quarter provided a good sense of foreshadowing.

Gilas Pilipinas defeats Mongolia 84-68 to take 7th place - Asian Games 2014

After a slow start, Gilas shifted into high gear to turn an early deficit into a breakaway and beat Mongolia, 84-68, in the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea Wednesday afternoon.
Gilas wound up seventh with the triumph, but still recorded the country's worst finish in the quadrennial meet.
Ranidel de Ocampo heated up in the first half, virtually carrying Gilas with all but 14 of his total output of 25 points.
