FEU beats UST, wins first UAAP title in 10 years (VIDEO)
The long wait is over. The FEU Tamaraws avoided blowing a 1-0 finals lead for a second straight year by beating the UST Growling Tigers, 67-62, in Game 3 of the 2015 UAAP Finals to win their first senior’s basketball title in 10 years on Wednesday, December 2, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Tamaraws evaded another year of heartbreak, as they finally attained the UAAP title that eluded them in their past 3 finals appearances in 2010, 2011, and 2014.

Not many gave University of Santo Tomas a chance to get this far just a few months back. And the Tigers intend to keep proving the doubters wrong.

FEU holds off NU in Game 1; Tamaraws a win away from UAAP championship (VIDEO)
The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws held off a fourth quarter rally by the National University (NU) Bulldogs to draw first blood in their best-of-three Finals series, 75-70, and move to within one win of claiming the UAAP Season 77 championship.
Mac Belo, after struggling all game with poor shooting and foul trouble, hit a lay-up over NU center Alfred Aroga with 44.6 seconds to go to extend FEU's lead to 73-48.

History was made at the Araneta Coliseum on October 1 when the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws and the National University (NU) Bulldogs forged a best-of-three showdown for the UAAP Season 77 men's basketball crown. (read NU defeats Ateneo story here) (read FEU dethrones La Salle story here)
It was the first time in the Final Four era that neither one of traditional powerhouses Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University made it to the Finals.

Mac Belo's Game Winner Beats La Salle; Pushes FEU Into UAAP 77 Finals (VIDEO)
Mac Belo drained a three at the buzzer to lift FEU past the DLSU Green Archers, 67-64, in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday evening at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Belo scored 23 points, including the game-winning three, to help the Tamaraws advance to the finals.

UAAP 76 Standings: DLSU, FEU tied at No.2; NU solo at No.1
The De La Salle University Green Archers earned a share of second place in the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament after outlasting the University of the East Red Warriors in overtime, 75-65, Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum. (watch DLSU vs UE full game replay here)
La Salle made all six of their field goal attempts in overtime and got a career-high 22 points from Jason Perkins as they marched to their fifth win in a row.

Terrence Romeo (FEU) vs Ray Parks (NU) for UAAP MVP award
Star guard Terrence Romeo of Far Eastern University leads the race for Most Valuable Player award after the first round of UAAP Season 76.
Romeo, who led the Tamaraws to a sweep of the first round, registered 79 statistical points (SPs) after averaging a league-leading 22.6 points along with 6.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

UAAP Season 76: Men's Basketball Games Schedule
The UAAP Season 76 has already started last weekend, with four explosive opening games for its Men's Basketball Tournament had FEU Tamaraws, UST Growling Tigers, NU Bulldogs and Adamson Soaring Falcons winning their respective games.
Probably the biggest story to highlight UAAP Season 76 Opening was the loss of 5-peat defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles during their first game Sunday against the NU Bulldogs led by last season's MVP Bobby Ray Parks Jr.

Nash Racela named new head coach of FEU Tamaraws
The FEU Tamaraws have officially named Nash Racela as the head coach of the squad for the upcoming UAAP season.
Racela replaced Bert Flores, who led the Tamaraws to a 9-5 record in the elimination round of Season 75 and fell just short of the final four.
FEU is only one year removed from making back-to-back appearances in the UAAP finals.

UAAP Season 75: NU Bulldogs & FEU Tamaraws Victorious On Their Opening Games
The UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) opened its Season 75 with a theme of “Unbreakable 75” at the newly-built state-of-the-art Mall of Asia Arena yesterday, July 14, 2012 Saturday. This season’s host is the National University.
The opening games are between National University (NU) Bulldogs vs. the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors and University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers vs. Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws.
NU Bulldogs was the one who’s controlling the game between UE Red Warriors. They defeated UE with a very wide margin, 90-55.
Meanwhile in the 2nd game, The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws was hailed victorious after they defeated the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers 73-72.
