Manny Pacquiao to fans: Don't worry my injury is not that bad

Former world champion Manny Pacquiao allayed fears over his supposed ankle injury ahead of his comeback fight against Mexico’s Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios.

The Filipino susperstar said in his Philboxing column “Kumbinasyon” that he has completely healed more than a week after sustaining an ankle sprain during a basketball game.

“Huwag po kayong mabahala dahil hindi naman peligroso at delikado ang injury ko (Don’t worry because my injury is not that bad),” he said.

(After seeking medical help, I can now run and continue training for my fight. I’m also back to playing basketball here in GenSan).

Pacquiao is due to meet Rios in a 12-round, non-title bout on November 24 in Macau.

A win could possibly set him up for a fifth match against Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Filipino said he wants to be in 100% condition come fight night. He, however, admitted that injuries are part of boxing training.

(I guarantee an exciting fight with Rios. Injuries are no longer new to me.)
