V-LEAGUE: Navy keeps FEU winless (Game Replay Video)
The Philippine Navy earned their first win of the tourney while blanking the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, 25-23 25-23 25-17, on Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Navy's first victory gave them a 1-3 card, while FEU sank to 0-4.
After two tight sets, Navy found their groove in the third, putting away their foes by a wider margin.
Team captain Michelle Laborte led all scorers with 12 points, four via blocks, while Chris Rosales added 10, all but one on spikes.
FEU saw Jerrili Malabanan pace the team with eight points, while three other players, Marie Charlemagne Simborio, Geneveve Casugod, and Samantha Dawson, each scored seven markers.
