Jessica Sanchez sang "Change Nothing" - American Idol 11 Final Show (Video)

ROUND 3. American Idol 11 Final Showdown. Jessica Sanchez sang "Change Nothing" as her winning piece. I was disappointed on Jimmy Lovine on choosing this song because for me that song is not a winning song...not a finale song. It would be better if he gave Jessica a Beyonce song or even Mariah's song. Asar! :(

Anyways, Jessica is still the best! :)

Judges Thoughts:

Randy Jackson said “I did not love the song but you made something more of the song. You got urban in you. You brought the song to life but the song was just OK.”

Steven Tyler said “I know how good you can sing. I just don’t think that was the proper song for you to sing.”

Jennifer Lopez said “I thought you sang the song really well. You have so much soul. When you go to make your record, you have to be able to say this is not me or this is me and put a twist on it. Everything has to be you.”

Phillip Phillips sings "Home" - American Idol 11 Finale Show

ROUND 3. American Idol 11 Final Showdown. Phillip Phillips performed "Home" as his winning piece. He received a standing ovation from the Idol judges in this performance.

Judges Thoughts:

Randy Jackson said “Dude! I love the song! I love you! I love the production!I love the marching band. Everything about that was perfect. That was the best performance of the night. Brilliant.

Steven Tyler said “You have made the world your home. I heard some Paul Simon in there. You are the man.”

Jennifer Lopez said “What was so moving about that was that it was so Phillip. It was Phillip Phillips.”

"The Prayer" - Jessica Sanchez

ROUND 2.  American Idol 11 Final Showdown. Jessica Sanchez performed "The Prayer" as her 2nd song. It is my favorite performance of her tonight and I wish she sing the whole song (haha). On the other hand, Phillip Phillips sang "Movin Out".

Round 2 is a tie. Steven Tyler chose Jessica Sanchez, Jennifer Lopez picked Phillip and Randy Jackson said its a tie.

"Movin Out" - Phillip Phillips

"I Have Nothing" - Jessica Sanchez

ROUND 1: American Idol 11 Final Showdown. Jessica Sanchez sang Whitney Houston classic song "I Have Nothing". I would commend Simon Fuller for choosing that song for Jessica. Twas beautiful & powerful song just like Jessica - who look very beautiful in her dress and own a powerful voice. She nailed it!

"Stand By Me" - Phillip Phillips

Meanwhile, Phillip Phillips performed "Stand By Me" by Ben E King, also chosen by Fuller.

Round 1 goes to Jessica Sanchez according to Randy Jackson. yehey! :)

Jeremy Lin to play on London Olympics 2012 for Team USA; Not for Chinese Taipei team

COLORADO SPRINGS – New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin, whose rise from obscurity to NBA stardom captured the world’s attention, was among 13 young players named on Monday to the USA Select team.

NBA 2012 Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving of Cleveland was also among those selected by USA Basketball for the squad that will serve as training opponents for the US Olympic team of NBA stars that will compete in the London Olympics.

The Selects will play training games against the American squad at the Olympic training camp July 6-12 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

But in addition to producing top efforts from this year’s collection of NBA Olympians, Lin and his teammates are taking their first steps toward the 2014 US world title defense and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

“The Select team has an excellent collection of talent,” said USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo.

“The group has outstanding speed and versatility, some excellent shooters and some very good size.

“It will be great to have them involved in USA Basketball and in the national team pipeline for our next quadrennium.”

Lin, an Asian-American whose parents are from Taiwan, had been cut by two NBA clubs and was on the Knicks’ bench when injuries to two starters forced the former Harvard University player into the lineup.
