Barangay Ginebra San Miguel superstar Mark Caguioa was in a foul mood on Sunday night moments after his Gin Kings’ 102-99 loss to the Alaska Aces at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Jeron Teng nailed a basket with 1.9 seconds left to lift the DLSU Green Archers past the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 66-64, in the second round of the UAAP men's basketball tournament at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum Sunday evening.

Ateneo was up 49-46 after three quarters, but the Archers went on an 11-4 blast early in the payoff period to take the lead.

After giving up a double-digit lead at halftime, the Tamaraws leaned on role players Gryann Mendoza, Anthony Hargrove and Roger Pogoy to come back from a 7-point deficit in the final quarter to take a 62-59 lead with 7.4 seconds remaining.

Uruguay trailed for most of their game against Jamaica, but a tip-in from Esteban Batista with 4.3 seconds to left to play gave the South Americans the victory 68-66.

Anthony "Showtime" Pettis submitted Benson "Smooth" Henderson in the main event of UFC 164 in Milwaukee to become the new light-heavyweight champion.

Henderson was able to control the first half of the opening round through his work in the clinch, although Pettis eventually scored with some kicks. Henderson again scored with a takedown late in the round, but it was the beginning of the end for him as Pettis was able to lock in an armbar while on his back.

Josh Barnett waited 11 years for his return to the UFC. Once he got there, he didn't take much time getting the job done.

The UFC 164 co-main event matchup of former UFC heavyweight champions against Frank Mir ended with a premature referee stoppage, but there's no doubting Barnett was dominating the fight. "The Warmaster" scored a TKO victory at 1:56 of the opening round Saturday night in Milwaukee.

Heading into UFC 164, Clay Guida had never lost a fight by KO or TKO. But Chad Mendes put a halt to that streak Saturday night at the Milwaukee's Bradley Center.

Mendes scored the victory 30 seconds into the third round. Not only was it the first TKO of Guida, it was Mendes' fourth consecutive KO win since dropping a bout to featherweight champion Jose Aldo Jr. last year.
