PBA: Tim Cone accepts suspensions on Marc Pingris, Joe Devance
San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone knows that the sanctions meted by the PBA to his key players Marc Pingris and Joe Devance is beyond the team’s control.
With the league handing a two-game ban on Pingris and a one-game suspension on Devance for their roles in the melee that broke out between the Mixers and the GlobalPort Batang Pier last Wednesday, Cone remained positive about San Mig Coffee’s chances in their upcoming matches.

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) on Friday rained down sanctions on players involved in the melee between San Mig Coffee and GlobalPort last Wednesday at Cuneta Astrodome. (watch full brawl video here)
San Mig Coffee star forward Marc Pingris and GlobalPort rookie Kelly Nabong, who figured in a fight during the melee, were both suspended for two games. The two men were also slapped a fine of P60,000 each.

PBA chief Salud to impose heavy sanctions on Pingris-Nabong melee
Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) commissioner Chito Salud has assured he will be handing out heavy sanctions against players who were involved in the free-for-all between San Mig Coffee and Global Port on Wednesday night.
The PBA chieftain said in an interview on Sport 5 Center that he has already summoned the players who figured in the melee that marred San Mig Coffee’s 102-88 win over GlobalPort.
Tim Cone blames referees on Marc Pingris-Kelly Nabong melee
San Mig Coffee won over GlobalPort on Wednesday, but Mixers coach Tim Cone was in no mood to celebrate.
“That was an eventful game. I’m worried that we may have won the battle but lost the war,” Cone said shortly after his team’s 102-88 victory.
