PBA All Star 2014: Slam Dunk Competition FULL REPLAY VIDEO

San Mig Super Coffee's Justin Melton and Meralco's Rey Guevarra were just so good that they had to share the honor of being the 2014 PBA All-Star Slam Dunk co-champions on Friday.
The spectators watched in awe after Melton executive a reverse dunk after catching the ball in the air.

For his second dunk, he caught the ball in the air again before capping the routine with a left handed slam on the ring.

Guevarra, for his part, completed a windmill dunk. He later executed a left-handed 360-degree slam.

Judges scored both players with 40 points each in the final round, ending the match in a tie.

“I’m excited. All were great competition and everybody did a good job. It was an exciting competition to say the least,” said Melton in the PBA website.

“I wasn’t intimidated at all. Coach Tim just told me to have fun and I really did,” he added.

Guevarra said the adrenaline rush helped him complete his routines.

“Nagdasal ako at awa naman, na-shoot,” Guevarra said. “Sobrang pressure lang talaga na sobra akong kinabahan. Sabi ko, kung ma-shoot, mashushoot at buti na lang, nagawa ko naman.”

Before meeting in the final round, Melton and Guevarra got 79 points each in the eliminations.

They bested defending champion Chris Ellis (72 points), Calvin Abueva (68 points), Japeth Aguilar (65 points), Cliff Hodge, and Alex Nuyles (56 points).
