#5 DISKARTE: 2013 FIBA Asia Championship: Gilas Pilipinas ends the Korean Scare
In the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship held in Manila, The run of South Korea tormenting the Philippine team in basketball history is over. This was marked as ‘End of Korean Scare’. Gilas Pilipinas made a history by overcoming its fierce rival South Korean team 86-79 that earned them a final spot to the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship and booked them a berth to the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Gilas Pilipinas shot 50 percent for the game and survived a 6-17 difference in the free throw attempts. They out-rebounded their foes, 38-27, and got a 38-22 advantage in points in the paint.
#4 DISKARTE: 2014 Asian Games: South Korea stuns defending champion Iran
Host South Korea outlast defending champion Iran in the 2014 Asian Games Men’s basketball final, enduring an onslaught of pressure from the tournament favourites to emerge as 79-77 victors on their own home soil in Incheon, Korea.
Despite coming into the game as underdogs, South Korea took little time to let Iran know they had every intention of overcoming the odds and adding to their gold-medal tally. #3 DISKARTE: UAAP Season 77 Men’s Basketball: FEU dethrones De La Salle Green Archers
FEU Tamaraws outclassed defending champion De La Salle Green Archers in a dramatic 67-64 victory that advance them to the Finals of the UAAP Season 77 Men's basketball tournament, their first Finals appearance since Season 74, where they will take on the fourth-seeded National University (NU) Bulldogs.
With time winding down, Mac Belo received a perfect pass from point guard Mike Tolomia and let a three-pointer fly. The ball hit nothing but net, triggering a wild celebration among the Tamaraws and the sizable FEU crowd that filled half of the Araneta Coliseum.

"(Belo) hit the biggest shot of the ballgame, but I think what's commendable was the fact that another guy made the pass," said Racela. "It was a team play, and that's what we always emphasize."
#2 DISKARTE: PBA Grand Slam: San Mig Coffee reigns!
It took 18 years for the Grand Slam to happen again. The San Mig Super Coffee Mixers broke through the history books and engraved their names beside the very best teams the PBA ever saw. In addition to, San Mig Coffee conditioned their mind that in able to get that rare Grand slam is to conquer their greatest obstacle. It is good to note that in the past years, the Mixers seemed like they were afraid of the Painters. Even the members of Rain or Shine knew they had a mental advantage over them. But at some point in this game, the Mixers decided enough was enough. And they realized that if they wanted to be a great team, they need to take on their demons head on.

# 1 DISKARTE:Kobe Paras wins slam dunk contest in FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships
Kobe Paras, the son of PBA Hall of Famer Benjie Paras, took home the slam dunk title in the FIBA Under-18 3×3 tournament following a spectacular stunt that saw him dunking over teammate Thirdy Ravena, who was sitting on a motorcycle. Paras made it to the semi-finals by doing a between-the-legs slam that earned a perfect score from the judges.
He was the youngest player in the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia but despite of his age he showed maturity and hops beyond his years, stamping the big windmill with authority and mesmerising the female audience to an uncontested win at the Honda Dunk contest final.
The 15-year-old Paras, a third year high school student at La Salle Greenhills, defeated Demonte Flannigan of the United States who hammered a nasty 360 but only collected bronze as he missed all three attempts to make his second dunk and Antonio Morales of Spain who struck silver with a few mean dunks including a difficult jam after a team-mate had completed a lay-up.
