Asi Taulava may not join Barangay Ginebra after all
After expressing his desire to return to Barangay Ginebra in the Philippine Basketball Association, Asi Taulava now seems set to continue his rejuvenated form in the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
Alfrancis Chua, team manager for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, reportedly said that Taulava may prefer the longer intervals between matches in the ABL.

Asi Taulava named team captain of Air21; replaces Ritualo
Asi Taulava’s much-anticipated PBA return was a triumphant one on Friday night, as he helped the Air 21 Express to a crucial 106-102 victory over the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.
The win kept alive his team’s flickering hopes of making it to the PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs.

Air21 'open' to talk to Barangay Ginebra about Asi Taulava
Is Asi Taulava joining Barangay Ginebra? Air 21′s team manager and representative to the PBA board, Lito Alvarez told InterAKTV in an exclusive interview that the former Most Valuable Player will be staying with the Express – at least until the Philippine Cup of next season.
“Yung second conference kasi, unlimited height yung import, so open ako,” Alvarez said.
PBA approves trade of Asi Taulava, Mike Cortez, two other players
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has approved on Saturday the four-player trade involving comebacking Asi Taulava and veteran guard Mike Cortez.
The former PBA Most Valuable Player Taulava, alongside swingman Mark Borboran, will be headed to the Air 21 Express while Cortez and forward James Sena are set to join the Meralco Bolts.

Air21, Meralco sealed Asi Taulava, Mike Cortez trade deal
Asi Taulava's wish to return to the PBA has been granted. Meralco has agreed to trade the rights to the 6-9 Taulava to Air21 Express for former top rookie pick Mike Cortez in a deal that could trigger an avalanche of trade deals in the final stretch of the league's 38th season.
The papers for the trade have been forwarded to the PBA Commissioner's Office for approval on Friday.
Asi Taulava invited to join Air21 practice, but no official trade yet
Asi Taulava’s return to the PBA has yet to be finalized, but the former PBA Most Valuable Player has been invited to join the Air 21 Express practice sessions.
“Since wala naman siyang PBA team so far, we invited him to come over so we can take a look at him,” Air 21 coach Franz Pumaren told InterAKTV in a telephone interview.

Asi Taulava, Eric Menk will consider PBA return
Former Barangay Ginebra star Eric Menk will consider returning to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) if he gets a call from his former team.
The 39-year-old is currently signed with the San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) together with former Meralco player Asi Taulava. The two played in tandem to lead the Beermen to their first title finish in the ABL.

40-years old Asi Taulava named MVP in Asean Basketball League
ADD the Asean Basketball League MVP award to the high points in Asi Taulava's long, rejuvenated career.
The San Miguel Beermen's big man was named the best Asean player of the regional league on Wednesday at age 40 after obtaining the most points in a ranking system based on votes from each of the league's six teams.
